Colleen is a real lifesaver for my 90-year-old widowed mother and me. I live in Massachusetts and am very anxious to help my mother live independently in her own home in Manchester for as long as possible. Although she is mentally sharp, she is physically frail and also prone to loneliness, which can lead to bouts of depression. I was losing hope that I could find anyone to help on a regular basis whom we would not only find competent but whom we would like and trust as well. Then I found Colleen.

Colleen is a competent, intelligent, pleasant, and completely trustworthy person who clearly does this work because she loves to do it. She helps with meal preparation and laundry and other household chores—including filling my mother’s precious bird feeders. My mother looks forward to her coming, not only because of the great work she does (and my mother is very fussy) but because of the company and conversation she provides. My mother says she’s never seen anyone get so much done in such a short period of time—and then happily reports that she and Colleen enjoyed a cup of tea together, and asks me to bring more of the special kind of cookies that Colleen likes.

We feel blessed to have Colleen in our lives, and I am so relieved that my mother has such wonderful help and support available to her. Colleen is making such a difference that I am no longer worried about having to investigate nursing homes anytime soon.
